Terminate Accounts with WHM

Updated: 29 April 2024
WHM Version: 112

Step 1: Access WHM

To start the process, you need to access the Web Host Manager (WHM).

  • Open your preferred web browser
  • Type in the WHM URL, which is usually your website's domain name followed by :2087. For example, https://www.yourwebsite.com:2087
  • Enter your WHM username and password to log in.

Remember your credentials

If you forget your WHM username or password, contact your hosting provider for assistance.

Once logged in, you will see the WHM dashboard. From here:

  1. Select the Account Functions option from the left-hand menu.
  2. Click on the Terminate Accounts option from the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Select the Account to Terminate

In the Terminate Accounts page, you will see a list of all the accounts hosted on your server.

  • Find the account you wish to terminate. You can use the Search bar to help you.
  • Click on the checkbox next to the account.

Step 4: Terminate the Account

After selecting the account:

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
  2. Click on the Remove button.

Account termination is irreversible

Please be absolutely sure before you terminate an account. Once terminated, all data associated with the account will be permanently deleted and, unless you have a backup, cannot be recovered.

Step 5: Confirmation

A confirmation message will appear, asking you to verify that you want to proceed with the account termination.

  • Click on the Yes, remove this account button to confirm the termination.

Once confirmed, WHM will proceed with the termination process. This may take a few moments. Once complete, you will see a success message indicating that the account has been terminated.

Wrap Up

Congratulations! You have successfully terminated an account with WHM. Remember to always double-check before terminating any account, as the process is irreversible and you will lose all data associated with that account.
