WHM, or Web Host Manager, is a comprehensive tool that allows administrative access to the back end of cPanel. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of modifying an account with WHM. This is an easy task when you understand the steps to follow.

Step 1: Login to WHM

The first step to modifying an account with WHM is logging into your WHM account. Input your username and password, and hit the 'Log in' button. Remember to always keep your login details secure.

Once logged in, look for the Account Functions section. This is usually located in the left-hand sidebar of your WHM dashboard. Click on it and a drop-down menu will appear. From this menu, select Modify an Account.

Step 3: Choose the Account to Modify

After clicking on 'Modify an Account', you will be directed to a new page with a list of all the accounts you manage. Scroll through this list and click on the account you want to modify.

Step 4: Modify the Account Details

When you have selected an account, a new page will appear displaying the account's current details. Here, you can modify various aspects of the account such as the contact email, quota, password, and more.

  • To change the password, simply enter a new password into the Password field.
  • To change the contact email, replace the existing email address in the Contact Email field with a new one.
  • To change the quota, enter the new quota limit into the Quota field.

Step 5: Save Changes

After making the necessary modifications, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save button. Your changes will now be saved and the account will be updated accordingly.

And that's it! You have successfully modified an account with WHM. By following these steps, you can easily manage and modify accounts in your WHM dashboard.

Remember to Save Changes

Always remember to click the 'Save' button after making changes to an account. If you navigate away from the page without saving, your changes will not be applied.

Keep Login Details Secure

Never share your WHM login details with anyone. If your login details fall into the wrong hands, your accounts and their data could be compromised.
